Frequently asked questions

  • Often, yes. Adding new circuits for a kitchen, bathroom, or air conditioning can exceed the capacity of an older switchboard. We will assess your existing board and advise if an upgrade is needed.

  • Absolutely. We coordinate with your builder and other trades to attend at the right stages, typically rough-in (before linings) and fit-off (after painting). Clear communication keeps the project moving.

  • Wiring older than 25 to 30 years may use insulation materials that have degraded over time. In some older Gold Coast homes, wiring may not have adequate safety switch (RCD) protection. We can assess your home's wiring and recommend any upgrades required.

  • New kitchen appliances like electric ovens, induction cooktops and dishwashers often require dedicated circuits. We will install the circuits from your switchboard, run the wiring within your walls and connect the appliances.
